Project Information

A street over from Bishops Avenue, aka Billionaires Row, this house with private gate onto Highgate Golf Course had limited visual appeal. The new owners bought it speculatively with the intention of demolishing and rebuilding. Three years on, planning was finally granted.

An interesting house since the previous owners had truly splurged in some areas on an oak Smallbone kitchen and huge 9m x 4m hardwood Marston and Langinger conservatory but notably underspent elsewhere.

While by no means the first conservatory we’ve tackled, this one was a testament to the build quality of M&L and didn’t go gently into the good night. This wasn’t helped by the subzero temperatures and the extraordinary amount of high strength adhesive used between each join. However, our motto is if it was put together it can be taken apart. Sometimes we reach the far limit of this belief! This is now awaiting reconstruction in its new Worcestershire home, the new owner absolutely delighted. The solid oak Smallbone kitchen was by comparison a walk in the park.

We also recovered various marble fireplaces, a large amount of wood flooring, bespoke joinery and various air conditioning units.
